Defining pressure, heat and the Molecular Kinetic Theory for gases

, por F_y_Q

Define, with your own words, the following concepts:

a) Pressure

b) Heat

c) Molecular Kinetic Theory for gases.

P.-S.

a) Pressure: It is the number of collisions of the particles of a system enclosed in a container, per unit area. It is measured in pascals (Pa) in the International System of Units (SI).

b) Heat: Heat is a form of energy that is transferred between systems or objects with different temperatures. It flows from the hotter object to the cooler one until thermal equilibrium is reached.

c) Molecular Kinetic Theory for gases: The Molecular Kinetic Theory for gases explains the behavior of gases in terms of the motion of their particles. It states that gas pressure is due to the collisions of molecules with the walls of the container, and the temperature of the gas is proportional to the average kinetic energy of the molecules.
